When I read a great book I become immersed in it. I visualize everything the author describes and I block out the "real world," to the point that my wife has to put her hand in front of my face to get my attention. "No Demons But Us" is one of those books. I have become so absorbed in this incredible and fascinating world that Etaski has lovingly crafted that I'm jealous of your opportunity to read it for the first time. This book has everything that I look for - a strong and adaptable main character, a host of interesting supporting characters, a fascinating setting and a compelling story-line. I want a story that I will lose myself in, and it was too easy to lose myself in "No Demons But Us." I was so wrapped up in it that I read it straight through from beginning to end even though it was my second time reading it. If you read to escape, as I do, I highly recommend "No Demons But Us."As with several other reviewers, I have been a patron of Etaski for a couple years. I've read the drafts of the works that will become the rest of the Sister Seekers books, and I look forward to reading them again in the future.
